Beyond one window

Any long job as a row

lampboard watch puts a build, a deploy or a test run in the column, beside the sessions.

A build, a deploy, a long test run: waited on exactly like a session, and until now watched in a terminal tab you kept going back to.

lampboard watch -- npm run build
lampboard watch --name deploy -- ./scripts/deploy.sh staging

The command runs in your terminal as it would have — its output, its input, its exit code, Ctrl-C — and the column shows it beside the sessions of the same folder: yellow while it runs, green when it exits 0, red with exit and the code otherwise.

A row of its own kind

No context ring, because there is no context; no window to raise, because the terminal is yours. A click marks it seen. The name is the program's unless you give one, never its arguments, which is where passwords and tokens live on a command line.

The switch that hides terminal sessions does not hide it: you asked for this row by name. At most twenty are kept, the oldest finished one making room.
